Oneonta Nursery School – The Garden Grows!
| Our beautiful planter garden was designed and built by Oneonta parents in October, 2009 and immediately after construction we began the process of planting and caring for our entirely edible garden. The children enjoy the fruits of their labor as they harvest and eat these beautiful vegetables during our daily snack time. We have adopted the Keene University “Early Sprouts” program as a part of our curriculum. Additionally, the children have their own individual garden journals they use to draw and write their observations of the garden in. We collect and measure rainwater , grow and hatch butterflies and praying manti, and explore nature in our outdoor science lab. |
The plants got so BIG! They got lots of rain water and sun.
